BE A PART OF OUR SISTERHOOD!

High Riders has an open rush period at the beginning of every fall and spring semester. Specific dates will be posted around the time of current rush.

Even though we have a rush process, we are a non-greek organization! Our process is laid back and meant to be a time for you to learn about High Riders and meet active members. We are so excited to meet all potential new members!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Dues during your pledge semester are $350. That covers the cost of pledge retreat, uniform, spirit bell, homecoming shirt, social events, and more! We work with everyone to make sure they are able to pay dues. Don't let the cost keeping you from joining.

WHAT DO WE WEAR?

At all official High Rider events, you must wear an HR polo & pin, as well as tennis shoes and, depending on the event, blue jeans with no holes, black pants with no holes, or khaki shorts. The polo and pin are included with your dues! The only thing you provide is pants and shoes.

WHY SHOULD I JOIN?

High Riders is a great opportunity to get involved on campus and in the community. You get the chance to have meet and greets with the sports teams. You also get to become part of the incredible traditions at Texas Tech. Lastly, you get to meet incredible people and can grow your leadership skills!

CAN I RUSH?

In order to rush you must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student. Grade classification does not matter. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required.

IS RUSH LIKE GREEK LIFE?

No. Rush events are 1-3 hour long social events with active members. Come as you are! Dress up or dress down, nothing specific is required.

DO I HAVE TIME?

Active members are required to attend weekly chapter meetings, all women's sporting events, and complete service hours. We work around school, work, and church schedules. Many active members are involved in other organizations and work!
